Volunteer

The Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus is always looking for volunteers from the community to help us with the many hours of work it takes to run our organization. If you are interested in volunteering to help in our office, at rehearsals or concerts, please contact TCGMC Office Manager Stephanie Gaw at 612-339-7664.

Some of our ongoing volunteer opportunities include:

Special Event Volunteer Opportunities: TCGMC holds 2 major fundraising events per year. Volunteer opportunities include event set-up and tear-down, acquisitions for auctions and raffles, and general event duties the evening of the event.

TCGMC Board of Directors: Each year, our Board Governance Committee reviews volunteer applications to serve on our Board of Directors. Our Board of Directors for 2014-2015 have been selected, but vacancies may occur and it is never too early to talk to us about service for 2015-2016.

Another way to serve is to volunteer for one of our existing Board committees. You do not have do be a member of the Board to serve. We currently have openings on the following committees: Marketing, Resource Development, Finance and our sub-committees for our fundraisers “Sing It Forward” and “Bingo A-GoGo.”

Concert Weekend Opportunities: TCGMC sells merchandise during their concert performance at Ted Mann Concert Hall. Volunteers are needed to help sell merchandise, run credit cards, collect cash, etc.

Office Support Opportunities: Help with occasional direct mailings (stuffing envelopes, applying labels and stamps, etc.) and other office support including phone support during busy periods leading up to concert performances, etc.
