Dr. Stan Hill Announces Retirement, National Search for New Artistic Director is Underway

Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus has announced that Dr. Stan Hill, Artistic Director of the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus will retire after the 2011-12 season.

Hill has been a major figure in the gay and lesbian choral movement. He was the Artistic Director of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus for 11 years (1989-2000) prior to joining TCGMC as the Artistic Director where he will have served from 2000-2012.

“Under Stan’s leadership, Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus has accomplished much during the past 12 years,” said Board Chair Jeffrey D. Bores. “We are so grateful to Stan for his dedication and leadership to this organization.”

Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus has launched a national search for Dr. Hill’s replacement. Applications were due December 31, 2011.
